Infertility Support

An invitation to heal in a safe and compassionate environment.

Always free, always confidential.
Support for Women, Men and Couples.

It’s normal to hurt and necessary to grieve. It’s possible to hope and supernatural to grow.
– Bob Kellemen

 You are not alone.

Statistics show that 1 out of 8 couples experience infertility and both women and men are affected in various ways. Unfortunately, we live in a culture that is uncomfortable with grief, especially with intangible losses such as the difficulty of achieving pregnancy, leaving those suffering feeling isolated and alone.

At Sierra Pregnancy + Health we recognize infertility can have a significant effect on men, women, family members, and loved ones. We want to change the culture of disenfranchised grief and offer a safe place for those grieving to find hope and healing.

We offer faith-based and secular support through individual or group meetings and for those not in the greater Sacramento area, we provide remote support through confidential video conferencing.

If you or someone you know is struggling with infertility grief, please contact us for more information on how we can come alongside and offer care and support.

Tanya Flores

Director of Reproductive Grief Care + Education

My role at Sierra Pregnancy + Health is bring a safe place to our community to process grief. I, along with our Reproductive Grief Care Advocates have experienced our own reproductive losses. Through our own healing, we offer emotional support and long-lasting hope with patience, compassion and mercy. We acknowledge every journey is unique and every person experiences grief on their own timeline. With no agenda, or expectation, we offer a confidential place for women and couples to grieve their losses, find enduring connections and look forward to their future.

If you are experiencing grief from a reproductive loss, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We can help individuals, family members and loved ones. It doesn’t matter if your loss was recent or decades ago. Explore the choice to heal. We hope your healing starts here.

I contacted the counselor and we started meeting over video calls once a week. God used those meetings to teach me so many things. I learned I am not alone in my suffering. I learned that even if we never have children God has a plan and purpose for my life. I learned that it is God, not my circumstances, who gives my soul lasting hope and fulfillment. Jesus is everything I need.

- Casey

It is beneficial to talk to someone who is not only trained in grief/reproductive loss support but who has gone through it themselves. I don’t have anyone else in my life who is “on the other side” of reproductive loss.

Help to Hope Workshop

Many of us know someone who has experienced a reproductive loss. It’s common to struggle for the right words to say or know how best to support your loved one with good resources and referrals.

There is hope. Come learn how to help those who grieve. Throughout the year we offer Reproductive Loss Network’s Help to Hope Workshop. This class brings a biblical response to a grieving world through educating, equipping, and encouraging individuals to support those touched by reproductive loss.

This workshop includes:

  • Understanding the impact of reproductive loss
  • Knowing where loss and life connect
  • Recognizing the biblical model of grieving with hope
  • Learning healing language with examples
  • Joining others in a Christ-centered healing network

What participants had to say after attending:

“Very impressed with your breadth of knowledge, empathy and understanding. Excellent workbook!”
– Project Rachel Coordinator

“Great general information to get started. Helped me tremendously on dealing with grief of all kinds.”
– High School Small Group Leader

“It not only helped me with my own grief but gave me great resources and helped in my role as an advocate.”
– Pregnancy Clinic Advocate

“I am leaving with a better understanding as to how to help those around me during their crisis situation.”
– Volunteer

“Grief is not a disorder, a disease or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love. The only cure for grief is to grieve.”
Dr. Earl Grollman

This site is not a professional counseling clinic, nor is it meant to take the place of professional counseling. Sometimes a reproductive loss experience can create intense emotions that you may not feel equipped to manage on your own. Our Reproductive Grief Care Advocates are available to walk alongside you through options for healing and hope. Please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) if you’re thinking about or planning to hurt yourself.
